WHAT’S IN MY BAG – SOLO TRIP EDITION
I hope you are doing great. This week I asked you on Instagram if you’d like to see what’s in my bag for a solo trip.
Let’s be real with three kids always in tow it’s not like I’m out of the house by myself too often. However I recently applied for driving license so I’m going out alone six days a week for 3-4 hours. Yayyy on that. 😀
Apart from this if I’m running errands or rushing to the library with kids or heading to a grocery store or to any government offices etc this is the bag I take along. The bag that I use is the Kipling one. It’s small but quite spacious to accommodate all my belongings.
For all the formal events I attend I have a separate bag that’s a little more fancy. I take my Aldo sling bag for all formal media invites.
Anyhow let me go ahead and show you what I carry in my everyday bag. What’s in my bag – solo trip edition.
This wallet holds cash, bills and coupons. I don’t put any cards in this one whatsoever.
All my identity card, health cards, kids’ identity cards, membership cards, library cards, etc go in this card wallet. It’s so easy and functional. I don’t have to dig my wallet at every library visit because all the cards are nicely arranged in order in this card wallet. I got mine from Daiso Qatar. I’d highly recommend a card wallet to every mother. It’s a must-have in every mom’s bag.
For now I carry a set of house keys. InshaAllah when I get the driving license I will hopefully have my car keys in it too. 🙂
I have two. Don’t ask me why because I have no idea why I have two sunglasses. One of them I got from H&M and the other one was a gift from a very sweet Pakistani friend of mine.
I recently got addicted to chewing gum. I have to have it every time I step out of the house. The candies are for my kids or for people I meet, in case anyone is having a bad day. Haha! So I have a separate pouch to store all that sweet stuff. By the way, I discover this new chewing gum, Chevito in Cardamom flavour and I swear it’s a bomb.
With earphones inside (obviously!). I have the chargeable ones and the regular ones, in case of emergency.
If you know me, you know how much I love makeup. But in this bag, I carry a liquid lipstick by Wet n Wild and an eyeliner.
I always have a travel-size deodorant or a perfume in my bag. I got my from grocery store.
This habit I recently inculcated in my life. Earlier I would never carry any water with me and drive myself insanely thirsty by the time I’d reach home. Now I have my own water bottle so I can quench my thirst even when I’m out and about. I highly recommend every mother to do the same. Carry your water in your bag. Also instead of plastic I use insulated stainless steel one because it’s way too hot here in Qatar and plastic bottles aren’t good for health in the long run.
That’s all I have in my bag at the moment. Am I overpacking? or Am I missing anything? Please tell me by leaving a comment below.
