Rumparooz is one of those many cloth diapering brands that has always fascinated me. I always kept my eye pealed just in case there’s a preloved up for sale or someone willing for a swap. And lucky, I did find one that was up for a swap.
I swapped a brand new Bumgenius 4.0 for this Rumparooz Pocket Diaper in Jeweled and I had to share my review of it, here on The Mommy Blog.
My First Impressions of Rumparooz Pocket Diaper:
Of all the things, I noticed the following when I first grabbed the diaper.
- The print was too adorable to resit.
- Extremely soft inner stay-dry layer.
- Sturdy snaps and elastics.
- The outer TPU was very soft to touch.
Features of Rumparooz pocket diaper:
Rumparooz pocket diaper has one opening at the back just like any regular pocket diaper. Patent inner gussets help in avoiding unwanted leaks.
Outside of the diaper is made of eco-friendly TPU and the inside is lined with stay-dry no-pill fleece. The diaper features two rows of sturdy waist snaps and three-step rise setting, meaning the same diaper can go on a newborn baby as well as on a toddler.
Comes with two microterry inserts called Rumparooz 6r Soaker.
Price:
USD 26 (approximately INR 1800)
Recommended age group?
Newborn to potty-training stage.
Pros of Rumparooz One Size Pocket Diaper:
- Attractive colours and cute prints.
- Easy to use for a beginner.
- One-size pocket diaper that goes from newborn to large settings.
- Unique inner gussets to prevent leaks.
- Customized absorbency layers.
- Dries quickly.
Cons of Rumparooz One Size Pocket Diaper:
- It’s quite expensive for it’s features, apart from the fact that it fits right from the newborn stage.
- Using two inserts can make the diaper look bulky on the baby.
- Sometimes it also leaves marks on thighs and back if you have a chunky baby.
Rumparooz Diaper Inserts:
This pocket diaper comes with Rumparooz 6r microfiber soaker. This included two soakers of 3 layers each. One is a contoured newborn insert and the other regular one size insert with 3 layers of absorbency.

Diaper Fit and Performance:
It fits on our chunky two and a half year old girl. I like this one for naps and daytime in generally.
Using two microterry inserts makes it bulky so I use one size insert with a hemp or charcoal bamboo insert and it works for us for 2-3 hours without any leaks. Sometimes I use two charcoal bamboo inserts and that works great too.
My daughter is currently wearing the Rumparooz fully unsnapped so I’m not quite sure for how long we will be able to use it with her. Nevertheless, I will probably be saving it for our next baby. So that’s an investment.
Rumparooz One Size Pocket Diaper Wash Care:
I wash my Rumparooz every other day along with rest of our dirty cloth diapers on 40 degrees and line dry under sun.
The official washing instructions on the Rumparooz website ask you to run a cold pre-wash. Then you add 1/4 cup of additive-free detergent in a hot wash/cold rinse cycle. Tumble dry on low or line dry.
Do I recommend Rumparooz pocket diaper to others?
Yes. If you are someone who is thinking of taking up cloth diapering or if you are already very much in to it but haven’tried a pocket diaper that fits from birth to potty training, then you should at least has one rumparooz one size pocket diaper in your stash.
And if you don’t like it you can always sell it off and buy something that works for you and your baby.
