Now that my girls have grown an year older, they have a different routine.
My elder one is out of diapers and my younger daughter who turn three last month, is in diaper for her nap time, night time and outings. We are in no rush to get her out of the diapers just yet.
So every night is she is in cloth, a heavy wetter that she has always been. Here’s the list of solutions that are working for us at this point in time.
Night Time Cloth Diaper Solutions:
SOLUTION #1 :
This all-in-one diapering system by Superbottoms Called Plus, works for us from 12 to 7-8 in the morning.
That’s a good 7-8 hours of leak-proof solution. So far we use it as is, without any additional boosters. I might add a hemp insert in the coming months, if need be.
SOLUTION #2 :
Our second solution is this all-in-two diaper by ClothDiaperShop. I did a detailed review of it here, in case you want to know more about the diaper. Marvy works for us, approximately for 7-8 hours.
Some nights I do notice dampness along the elastic area but as long as my child isn’t bothered, it’s totally fine with me.
SOLUTION #3 :
Smartbottoms 3.1, an all-in-one system paired with one Geffen Baby absorber plus is our third solution.
I have invest in quite a few Smartbottoms in a span of one month and I would really hope to see if this works for our baby #3 as well.
Smartbottoms are made of organic cotton and they don’t come with a stay-dry layer on the top. My daughter doesn’t seems to be bothered by the wetness any more so on most nights I just skip the fleece liner.
All said and done, we do have nights when our diapers leak and it’s absolutely fine as long as it’s not a lot and it doesn’t disturb my child’s sleep.
One suggestion I do have for everyone wanting to try and make cloth diapers work for you, is to try out different option offered by different brands and see what works best for you and your child.
