As the temperature is humid almost all through the year, it’s more likely that you may want to head to an indoor entertainment than outdoors. In today’s post I share Top 11 Places To Visit In Qatar (With Kids) hope you find it useful.
I’m sharing both indoor and outdoor places along with the best times to visit these places. Go on and keep reading the post to find out.
However, during the winters, December to Mid March, going outdoors is so much fun for both kids and parents. We have been staying here for almost three years and here’s the list of place we love going back to depending on the temparature.
Here’s the list of Top 11 Places To Visit In Qatar (With Kids):
1. ASPIRE ZONE:
Aspire Park is one of the most beautiful places here in Qatar. It has so much to offer for both children and parents. The beautiful lake view makes it an ideal place to spend an evening away from home.
When to go?
Aspire Zone is open all through the week. Best time to go is on weekends, Eid holidays and special event.
2. MIA PARK:
MIA Park is another beautiful place for a perfect family outing. All decked up with beautiful palms tree and blue sea, it’s definitely on our list of favourite places. There are also stalls that sell over the weekends.
When to go?
MIA Park is open all through the week. Best time to go is on weekends, Eid holidays and special event organised by the government.
3. AL KHOR PARK:
It’s a known fact that there is no zoo park here in Qatar. The older one has been closed for renovation and won’t be open for public until 2018 or so. Al Khor is a miniature zoo, it’s houses birds, zebras, horses, goats and more.
If you go here in the month of January or February, chances are you will probably spot dancing peacocks. It’s a nice spot for a weekend outing with your children.
When to go?
Al Khor is open all through the week. Best time to go is on weekends.
4. KATARA MAGICAL FESTIVAL VILLAGE:
Katara Magical festival village is a beautiful getaway for families especially around the time of both Eid-ul-fitr and Eid-al-Adha. Apart from all the stalls and amusements for kids, the government organizes special firework that’s held for three consecutive Eid days.
When to go?
Katara is open all through the week. Best time to go is on weekends, Eid holidays and special event organised by the government.
5. SEALINE BEACH:
Beaches are a wonderful picnic spot for families here in Qatar. Although beaches seem to be a very calm place to sn
When to go?
Any day ideally during the cooler months of the year.
6. AQUA PARK:
Everyone knows this well, summers are extremely harsh here in Qatar so what better way to beat the heat than a family outing to the famous Aqua Park. This so many options for kids, this park is going to be every child’s favourite.
When to go?
Holidays, weeekend. Perfect a picnic all through the year.
7. GONDOLANIA INDOOR THEME PARK:
Gondolina is an indoor theme park in the famous shopping mall Villagio. It’s a beautiful place with all things glittery. Merry-go-round, train ride, and so much more excitement for your children.
When to go?
Gondolina is open all through the week. Best time to go is on weekends, Eid holidays and special event organised by the government.
8. THE CORNICHE:
Corniche is one of the most famous place here in Qatar. This huge waterfront stretches across seven kilometers and offers a breathtaking view of the city.
Situated along the bay is Islamic Museum of Art. As the night falls, the city lights up giving a spectacular view to cherish while relaxing with the family on a lazy weekend.
When to go?
Corniche is open all through the week. Best time to go is on late nights on weekends, Eid holidays and special event organised by the government.
9. JUNGLE ZONE:
Jungle Zone is also an indoor fun and amusement center for children. It’s situated in the Hyatt Plaza near the Villagio Mall. There are a number of fun activties and rides for kids. It’s an ideal getaway if you don’t want much of travel yet have fun. The Jungle Zone is in the heart in the city.
When to go?
Jungle Zone is open all through the week. Best time to go is on weekends, Eid holidays and special event organised by the government.
10. DOHA FESTIVAL CITY:
The Doha Festival City is one of the latest shopping and family destinations opened here in Qatar in the year 2017. Situation next to Ikea Qatar, it has to be everyone Ikea hoarder’s favourite. Doha Festival City has a number of fun activities going on for kids almost every weekend.
The only downside I see is that I food court is not as big as compared to other food courts in various other shopping malls. Or may be we haven’t explored the mall completely.

Doha Festival City is open all through the week. Best time to go is on weekends, Eid holidays and special event organised by the government.
11. Mall Of Qatar:
Mall of Qatar or MOQ as it’s called is so far of the biggest shopping and family destinations in Qatar. It’s huge, it’s beautiful and so surreal. The Oasis has amzing display of water fountains and a massive stage in the center.
Surrounded by more than 500 stores and a huge food court. The area of the mall is equivalent to 50 football pitches. Mall of Qatar is the largest shopping center in Qatar.
When to go?
MOQ is open all through the week. Best time to go is on weekends, Eid holidays and special event organised by the government.
